Managing Director and Head of Design @ Lago Spa

Daniele Lago was born in Asiago (Padua) in 1972. After completing his technical studies he attended the Italian Design School in Padua. The youngest of ten children, he went into the family business at a very young age. Here he began to pursue his professional career, taking care of Lago’s design and image from the very start.

The company has a long tradition in wood processing, and after Daniele joined, it began to veer in the direction of more contemporary products and an increasingly innovative style of communication.

Thanks to Daniele’s fundamental contribution, LAGO began to grow, becoming a joint-stock company in 2006. The number of employees has doubled over the last five years (there are now 180) and the company’s turnover increased almost exponentially, currently exceeding EUR 30 million. These factors earned LAGO SpA a place in the list of the 30 best-performing Italian companies of 2010, compiled by the authoritative national weekly economics magazine, Il Mondo.
