After the Phd in “Urban History”, the Master in “History and analysis of the territory” and the Master in “Management of art and cultural heritage, Francesco Mannino make the most of his previous experiences in the project “Officine Culturali”, from 2012 is the president of this association.

The goals of Officine Culturali are: to develop the communication, the planning and the management of the cultural activities and to make these activities understandable and accessible, and an opportunity of participation, civilization and development for the community.

He is responsible of the promotion of the Benedictine Monastery “San Nicolò l’Arena” of Catania (today Department of Humanities of the University of Catania), the “Museo della Fabbrica” and its Archive (and the University Museum of Archeology.
