She works in consulting and higher education in the field of web marketing (above all in the tourism sector, but not only) and is a popular blogger.
In July of 2011, “Viaggi in Rete, dal nuovo marketing turistico ai viaggi nei mondi virtuali” (“Online Tours, from new tourism marketing to tours in virtual worlds”), was published by Franco Angeli; Roberta edited the book with Mario Gerosa, and recently edited “Turismo e Reput’azione” (“Tourism and Reputation”), which deals with online tourism reviews, together with Francesco Tapinassi, for the publishing house Maggioli Editore.
Roberta has been a professor for the degree courses in Tourism Economics and Communication Sciences at the University of Genoa.
Before dedicating herself to these subjects, she had a decade-worth’s of experience in marketing and sales for Johnson & Johnson Medical.

A much-appreciated speaker, she is often a guest at targeted conferences on the subject of tourism marketing.
She is part of TDLAB (Digital Tourism Laboratory), an initiative of the Ministry for Heritage, Cultural Activities and Tourism, which has the task of implementing a digital strategy for tourism.
